Croda Strategy
Because of the absence of one-on-one opposition, Croda strategy is more about
pace & breakthrough than about tempo & opposition. Differences in pace derive from
one source only: captures.
Contrary to
,
one cannot afford a huge arrears in pace on grounds of tempoconditions. Moreover, the margin of error is very small: in Croda
the two-against-one king's endgame is a win.
As all draughts variants that feature straight forward movement, like
Turkish, HexDame and Dameo, Croda encourages a build-up of forces along the sides,
though the importance of the center remains undisputed.
