Known problems
I'm sorry to say the cross-platform compatibility Java promises, isn't quite there yet.
- Graphics and colors aren't consistent accross browsers/platforms. On a PC with 256 colors
things are especially bad, I'm afraid. A 256 color Mac is OK, as is any high/true color system
- Netscape Navigator is known to sometimes forget to redraw the screen. In particular, this
might happen when you step through a sequence one by one: nothing seems to change.
This is very annoying. If in doubt, correct the display by putting another window
in front of the Grand Chess player, and removing it again
I try to work around these problems as much as I can, so please keep
checking our site for new versions.
